An extension to a stable foundation

Well not everybody can side bend with one hand all the way down to the mat. I also find it risky for the joints. I want to recommend using blocks for some standing postures like Triangle Pose or Extended Side Angle Pose. Cork blocks have greater feature of grip and stable enough to rest your hands for support than foam blocks. Although cork blocks can be hard for the back if you're doing restorative postures, but they are great definitely for support in standing postures. I love the thickness and the size of their blocks compared to other cork blocks. I also like to play with this cork block when doing some advance poses like forearm stand and crow pose because they stay on the mat (especially when you have a grippy rubber ACE mat from Nibbana).

Very happy - highly recommend these blocks

Great yoga blocks. They have no yucky synthetic smell, lightweight but strong - exactly what you hope for from a yoga block.
