Life is an Experiment the more you make the better I've started to observe that life is truly an endless series of a small experiments. In the words of Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg "Everybody’s a mad scientist, and life is their lab. We're all trying to experiment to find a way to live, to solve problems, to fend off madness and chaos." Considering what we and the world are going through right now, have you considered that you are indeed the scientist of your own life? |

Reflections on 2008 Surrendering into the new Sometimes inspiration comes from unexpected places. As I sit here writing in reflection of the year 2008, in a lovely little town called Boulder, right at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, USA, I am looking forward to what promises to be my first white Christmas. I feel like an excited kid, in pure joy at such a simple pleasure as playing with fresh new, soft ,powdery snow. At the same time, I can't help but recall the immense challenges 2008 brought us all and the gifts we can take away from it as we enter 2009. |

There's a Light in the Boardroom a sign that positive change is underway... Now more than ever, it's important that we take the time to step back and gain some perspective and balance, by observing and reflecting on the positive things and changes that are also happening in the world. It's often much easier - and more seductive - to get caught up in the drama and negativity along with everyone else, especially the mainstream media. However, our ability to step outside of the madness and see things 'as they really are' is a true indication of how far we have evolved along the path. |

Living Fearlessly in a world of change... I always pay attention to the themes around me and in my recent observations of the world and people I speak with, the words chaos and fear keeps coming up over and over again. With all the global changes going on right now, it makes sense that we’re affected on an individual level, feeling trapped by our circumstances, as though in a jail. Yet how can we find a way to escape from these limitations to 'live fearlessly' and deal with the challenges in a positive way that assists our growth? |

A Powerful Reminder of Olympic proportions... A few days ago I was scanning the weekend newspaper (something I rarely do) and I happened across an article about Michael Phelps, the swimmer from the USA who won his 8th gold medal and has since been proclaimed as the 'greatest Olympian ever' - having won 8 gold medals in one Olympic Games and a total of 14 golds in his swimming career. What really caught my attention was one of the things that helped him do it - visualisation. |
